Tom Grivosti Signs New Two Year Contract

Tom Grivosti has penned a new two-year contract at Richmond Park as Stephen Kenny continues to build his St Patrick's Athletic squad for 2025 and beyond.

Grivosti follows team-mates Danny Rogers, Anto Breslin, Jamie Lennon and Axel Sjoberg in extending his deal over the off-season, with Simon Power also joining the club recently from Sligo Rovers.

Tom quickly became a fan favourite at Richmond Park, he arrived at St Pat's on a permanent transfer from Scottish Premier League side Ross County at the beginning of the 2022 season, and has made 66 appearances in red and white so far, scoring three times.

Before signing for The Super Saints, where he won the FAI Cup in 2023, the Liverpool lad had been on loan in Scottish League Two with Elgin City, where he made 13 appearances.

Tom spent eight years with his local team MSB Woolton in Liverpool before joining the Bolton Wanderers' Academy in 2011 where he spent six years.

He moved to Ross County in 2018, making his debut in August, he made almost 30 appearances for Ross County and won the Scottish Championship title and the Scottish Challenge Cup (2018-2019 season).

Tom played 11 times for them in the Scottish Premiership before his loan move to Elgin.

The 25-year-old spoke to our Youtube channel shortly after signing his new deal:

"I've had some great memories during my three years here and hopefully many more to come, I'm delighted to have the new contract done.

I've loved being part of the club and I've have formed a great connection with my team-mates, the staff and the supporters, and hopefully we can carry that on into the future.

My family love coming over for the games, and I've loved living in Dublin and playing for St Pat's so it was an easy decision to stay."

Manager Stephen Kenny said:

"Tom has shown immense character having been a full calendar year out injured, to have the fortitude to go through that and come back into the team and play at a very high level is exceptional.

Tom defends with real intelligence and his decision making is excellent. He is extremely calm and decisive in possession so we're really pleased that he has signed a new contract and that Tom will now continue his journey with us."

While Director of Football Ger O'Brien added:

"We're very pleased that Tom has extended his contract and we're looking forward to having him with us over the next couple of years.

He is an excellent defender, a top professional and a great person around the club.

Tom has built a tremendous rapport with our fanbase since coming to the club in 2022. He showed just how important he is to the team since his return from injury in May, and played a key role in the winning run that secured European football for 2025."
