Their last outing was a 5-0 loss to Sligo Rovers at Oriel Park on Monday.
A goal from Fabrice Hartmann and doubles from both Ellis Chapman and recent returnee Max Mata meant that John Russell's side secured the three points in Louth, they led 4-0 at half-time and added a 5th in the second-half.
The last meeting of St Pat's and Dundalk was in September 2023, as the Saints ran out 3-1 winners at Richmond Park.
A Tommy Lonergan double and a penalty from Mason Melia, who was celebrating his 16th birthday that day, gave Jon Daly's men the win.

Conor Carty put the Saints 1-0 up in the first half before Daniel Kelly got an 84th minute equaliser to salvage a point for Dundalk.
Dundalk's first visit to Richmond Park last season was in May and it ended in a hard-fought home victory.
Mark Doyle put the home side 1-0 to the good, before Rayhaan Tulloch pulled one back for Dundalk. Conor Carty, once again, scored to ensure the ten men Saints took all three points.
The first meeting between the sides last year was a 5-0 win for Dundalk at Oriel Park in March. Patrick Hoban, Louie Annesley, Rayhaan Tulloch, Daniel Kelly and Connor Malley scored the goals.
DALY: "It's important to make Richmond a fortress"
Manager Jon Daly is keen to stress the importance of Richmond Park's support in order to bounce back from Monday's defeat in Waterford, with four of St Pat's next five league matches at home.
"The game against Waterford was obviously disappointing and frustrating.
My job, the staff's jobs and the player's jobs are to get themselves going, we haven't got time to feel sorry for ourselves.
I think it's going to be a good game on Friday, we're looking forward to it.
It's an opportunity to go out and perform and get three points, and to get ourselves climbing back up the table.
Dundalk's attacking threat is very good, they've got good pace on the sides, we have to play our game and give ourselves the best opportunity.
Home games are key and it's important that we turn Richmond into a fortress to try and pick up as many points as we can."
