Club Statement On Supporter Conduct

Following a hearing of the FAI's Disciplinary Control Unit this week the club makes the following statement.

"St Patrick's Athletic condemns the actions of a small number of supporters who caused risk to fellow-supporters, players and match officials at recent games.

Multiple flares were lit and those and a number of objects were thrown onto the field of play during games in Tallaght, Galway and Richmond Park.

These actions are unacceptable and the club has been heavily fined as a result.

St Patrick's Athletic are currently identifying those responsible and will sanction and/or indefinitely ban these individuals from Richmond Park.

It goes without saying that seeing any player, official or spectator burned and injured from a flare at a League of Ireland fixture is a very serious matter.

The club have already received thousands of Euro worth of fines this season which is unsustainable and further similar behaviour will likely lead to more grave consequences.

We now request that all supporters respect the safety of all their fellow-supporters, players and match officials and refrain from any of the above unacceptable behaviour."
