Result: Saints 0 - Sligo 1

An impressive Bank Holiday crowd of 4,265 were in attendance as both sides with aspirations of a European finish went head to head in hot and humid conditions at Richmond Park.

But it was the visitors who grabbed all three points thanks to a second half header from the League's top scorer, Max Mata.

We were treated to a breathtaking end to end opening in which the home side forced corner after corner, building up some decent situations but failed to really trouble Luke McNicholas.
