Melia Becomes Saints Youngest Scorer

Mason Melia became our youngest ever senior scorer with a cracker against Wexford in the Leinster Senior Cup aged 15 years and 132 days, watch the goal on our Youtube channel below.

The previous record holder was Kian Corbally, who also scored in the Leinster Senior Cup in a 3-1 win against Sheriff YC in 2019, Kian was aged 15 year and 305 days.

Mason is also the youngest player to make a senior appearance for the club in the modern era, Melia came on in the 65th minute and scored in the 90th minute in a 3-1 defeat on Tuesday night.

Sam Curtis was previously the youngest player to make a senior appearance for St Pat's in the modern era, at 15 years and 255 days old, he came on in a League of Ireland Premier Division game against Waterford in August 2021.
