Result: Saints 0 - Dundalk 1

DUNDALK extended their lead at the top of the League of Ireland summit to eight points as a John Mountney goal saw off St Pat's.

A trip to Inchicore on a sunny Saturday afternoon three days after a Champions League draw with Qarabag, and just four days before the second leg in Azerbaijan was always a banana skin.

And boss Vinny Perth's decision to make eight changes to his starting line-up with the Qarabag clash in mind added to the danger.
