Result: Limerick 0 - Saints 1

A stunning Ryan Brennan strike was the difference between St Patrick's Athletic and Limerick FC at the Markets Field.

In what was arguably Limerick's best performance of the season, they were undone by a piece of magic 18 minutes from time.

Ryan Brennan's curling shot from just inside the penalty area hit the top corner and Pat's hopes of Europe next season remain on track.

Limerick were denied by some last ditch Kevin Toner defending and two superb Barry Murphy stops either side of half time before Brennan's winner.

Karl O'Sullivan nearly grabbed an equalizer soon after Brennan's goal but again it was Murphy to the rescue for Liam Buckley's side who go back to Dublin with all three points.
