Spurs Win Seals €1,000 For Carrie

Spurs' victory over West Brom last night handed €1,000 to Carrie, c/o Tom Kavanagh, who was the only person to correctly predict all ten fixtures this weekend and score 15 points out of a possible 15. The cancellation of the Portsmouth v Arsenal fixture on Saturday meant that Carrie missed out on a chance at winning the jackpot prize.

Three others had been waiting on different results in last night's match. Betty Moran c/o Martin Moran was hoping for a West Brom win to share the €1,000 win Carrie having incorrectly predicted a Wigan victory over West Ham. Both John McNamara c/o Tommy O'Meara and James Stacey c/o Gary O'Grady were hoping for a draw, both having dropped just one point in the other game, John incorrectly guessing a Bolton victory at Middlesbro and James incorrectly guessing a draw between Charlton and Newcastle.

As the Portsmouth v Arsenal match was called off due to a waterlogged pitch, under rule 3 the €1,500 jackpot prize cannot be paid out this week and will be carried over to next week.
