Saints To Face Galway In 2016 SSE Airtricity League Opener
St Patrick's Athletic are to open their 2016 SSE Airtricity League season with a home fixture against Galway United on Friday, 4 March 2016 (kick-off 7.45pm).
The Saints are set to face Galway United, Bohemian FC, Dundalk, Sligo Rovers, Wexford Youths and Derry City at home twice during the 2016 season, while Liam Buckley's side must travel to Longford Town, Cork City, Bray Wanderers, Shamrock Rovers and Finn Harps twice.
The Saints begin the defence of their EA Sports Cup title on the 18/19 of April, while the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup second round is scheduled for May 22.
The Saints' opening league fixture is a repeat of the 2015 EA Sports Cup final, which saw the Saints defeated Galway United 4-3 on penalties in Eamon Deacy Park.
