Saints Out Of Cup

St Pat's have been knocked out of this year's FAI Cup at the quarter final stage.

A pulsating cup game ended in the defeat for the Saints who will now turn their attention to the six remaining league fixtures.

Shamrock Rovers took a two goal lead into half-time thanks to strikes from Ronan Finn and Shane Robinson.

The Saints were much improved in the second half, but were thwarted by Barry Murphy in the away goal who saved efforts from Ger O'Brien and John Russell.
