Late Goal Denies Saints All 3 Points

An injury time equalising goal from Jason Byrne denied the Saints all 3 points in a highly entertaining game at the Carlisle Grounds.

The Saints found themselves trailing on two occasions but fought back to lead the match 3-2 thanks to goals from Christy Fagan (2) and John Russell.

But with only seconds remaining Byrne scored his second of the game to earn a point for the hosts.

The draw means the Saints remain unbeaten in the league and host Dundalk on Monday night looking to get back to winning ways.
