ST PAT’S FANS TEAM RECORD BIG WIN

St Patrick's Athletic Fans team maintained their impressive form when they won 6-2 away to Lissadell United on Sunday in Brickfields. Scorers for St Pat's were Dave Byrne (2), Joey Nolan (2), Peter Clark and Greg Devereaux. While results from other matches in the league need to be updated this win should see St Pat's into second position with games in hand on the league leaders.

Commenting on the result assistant manager Noel Cleary said “it was a good win but we missed a lot of chances, from speaking to the Lissadell manager after the game he felt ourselves and Beechwood were the best two teams that they had played so far and while we played the better football, Beechwood were far more clinical in front of goal”.

“We will definitely have to work on our finishing in front of goal”, added Cleary.
