SAINTS STAND AGAINST RACISM

In their last home game of the 2010 Airtricity League season, St Patrick's Athletic were delighted to mark Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) Week, which aims to eliminate racism from soccer.

The Saints team was led onto the pitch behind local schoolboy players holding the ‘United Against Racism' while their opponents on the night -Bray Wanderers were led out behind UEFA'S “Respect Diversity” banner.

The message on the night was that discrimination of any sort – whether based on religious background, nationality or skin colour – is simply not acceptable, on or off the pitch.

Fans and footballers alike have a duty to promote this message and St Patrick's Athletic were delighted to play their part.
