SAINTS HELD BY SLIGO

Pete Mahon's side were held to a nil all draw by Sligo in a pulsating game at Richmond Park.

Sligo had the better of the first half but failed to cause Gary Rogers any serious problems. The Saints came out for the second half and brought the game to Sligo.

Dave McAllister went closest for the Saints hitting the upright after a good knock down by Vinny Faherty. Faherty, Garreth O'Connor and Ian Bermingham all had attempts on goal for the home side but couldn't break the deadlock.
