St Patrick’s Athletic Promote Dublin As European City Of Sport

St Patrick's Athletic has teamed up with Dublin City Council, the FAI as well as fellow city clubs Bohemians and Shelbourne to promote the Airtricity League as part of the European City of Sport campaign for 2010.

Dublin is the 2010 European City of Sport and to celebrate Dublin City Council are highlighting the availability of top class professional football in the city.

A new billboard campaign was launched today (August 18th) to promote the three Airtricity League clubs playing in within the Dublin City Council boundaries, with players from Shelbourne, Bohemians and our own Ian Bermingham from St. Pat's Athletic all featuring in the billboard.

The billboard will be displayed at various locations throughout Dublin City, encouraging Dubliners to get behind their local heroes as Dublin continues to mark its European City of Sport title.

Posters, as well as flyers, highlighting upcoming games for all three clubs have also been made available for distribution throughout the local areas as well as through Dublin City Council offices.

St Patrick's Athletic's next game in the Airtricty League is against Sligo Rovers on Friday night at Richmond Park with a 7.45pm kick off. Tickets are available from the Saints Superstore on Emmet Road.
