SPORTING FINGAL NEXT UP FOR UNDER 20’s

Following a comprehensive 7-0 win against Longford Town last week, St Pat's U-20's face a far stiffer test when they host Sporting Fingal at Richmond Park on Wednesday night, kick off 7.45pm.

“The Longford game was not as one sided as people might think”, said assistant coach Anto Bailey, “our goalkeeper made three or four great saves to keep us in it in the first 15 minutes”.

“We've trained over the week and worked on some defensive areas but the Fingal match will give us a better indication as to where we currently are.

Fingal beat Bohemians 2-1, they've been together as a squad a lot longer than ourselves so it will be one of the toughest matches of the group for us”.,

“At the last game it was great to see Pete and John from the first team as well as Maurice and Alan from the A Championship team in attendance and quite a few supporters in the ground as well.

It gives the players a bit of a lift, a bit more to play for and maybe an added bit of pressure which may not be such a bad thing”, added Bailey.

Admission is free tomorrow night and the club would encourage supporters to get behind the St Pat's Under 20 and A Championship sides who will be playing their home games at Richmond Park this season.
