BYRNE RECEIVES SAINTS SUPPORTERS’ PLAYER OF MONTH AWARD
Following a string of impressive displays, Striker Paul Byrne was recently voted the April player of the month by members of the St Patrick's Athletic Supporters' Club.
The former UCD and Bray striker broke into the starting eleven in recent weeks and has scored vital goals in matches against Galway United, Bray and Sligo Rovers.
Commenting on his recent goal scoring form Byrne said, “I've been trying to get into the box a bit more but really I haven't changed my style or the way I play or anything like that.
As a striker when you get a goal or two your confidence is up, you're up for trying things and you don't really think about
missing”.
Byrne was presented with his award by Saints' fan Thomas Foy after Friday night's game on behalf of the St Patrick's Athletic Supporters' Club.
Tickets for Friday night's Airtricity League match against table-toppers Dundalk (Friday 7th may) will be on sale from the club shop from this afternoon.
Tickets for the Setanta Cup final (Saturday 15th May) are also available from the club shop.
A limited allocation of 2,000 tickets has been received by the club so supporters are asked to please purchase their cup final tickets early.
