ST PAT’S VIST LOCAL SOCCER CAMP IN INCHICORE

St Patrick's Athletic striker Alex Williams dropped into a girls coaching camp on Wednesday morning and gave the participants plenty of encouragement and tips to develop their soccer skills.

The four day course held in the local sports complex has attracted over thirty girls from local primary schools and is co-ordinated by the local regional development officer for the FAI David Rake.

“It's not just about having the skills, you need to work hard and keep practicing”, said Williams, “in Scotland I played with a young international who had loads of potential but wasn't prepared to put in the effort and he ended up dropping out of football”.

As an added incentive for the youngsters to keep their interest in football Alex provided tickets for everyone on the camp to come along and see St Pat's take on Sporting Final in the Airtricty League on Friday and afterwards signed jerseys and posters for the girls.

St Patrick's Athletic FC take on Sporting Fingal this Good Friday 2nd April at Richmond Park with the earlier kick off time off 7.35pm.

Tickets are on sale from the club shop on Emmet Road
