CONNOR SET FOR DEBUT TONIGHT
Following Friday's 2-0 win against Galway, St Patrick's Athletic take on Drogheda United in the first round of the Leinster Senior Cup tonight at Richmond Park.
Saints manage, Pete Mahon is expected to give some of his new players their chance this evening including new signing, goalkeeper Dan Connor.
“Dan Connor will play a big part for us here this season" Mahon told stpatsfc.com. "What he does give us is leadership qualities and experience.
"Dan's a league winner and is a very good professional and that will only help with the younger players at the club.
He also gives us competition for places, Gary (Rogers) knows he'll have to be on his toes week in, week out”
The Saints have started this season with a 1-1 draw with Linfield in the Setanta Sports Cup before Friday's Airtricity League victory over Galway.
