ST PAT’S FUTSAL TEAM READY FOR NEW SEASON
Ahead of the start of the 2009 Emerald Futsal League, St Patrick's Athletic Futsal team were presented with a new set of tracksuits, sponsored by the local Polish shop on Emmet Road - Amstore.
The futsal team is made up of Brazilian and Irish players and will soon kick off their league campaign when they take on Sporting Fingal on Saturday 13th June.
Earlier this year the team narrowly lost the national futsal final to Cork City in extra-time and missed out on the opportunity to be Ireland's representatives in the UEFA Futsal tournament .
“Losing the final was disappointing”, said team manager Jose Ferreira , “but I'm delighted by the way everyone has got back to training and we're now really looking forward to the start of the new league and doing our best for the club”.
At Friday night's Dublin Derby at Richmond Park, Jose was presented with the new set of team tracksuits by Declan White, Club Promotions Officer at St Patrick's Athletic.
The club would like to thank the manager and staff at Amstore for the generous support of St Pat's Futsal the team.
