ST PAT’S CONTINUE SCHOOL VISITS

As part of promoting a healthy diet to schoolchildren with our partners Glanbia and the National Dairy Council St Pats made a visit to two schools last week.

Drimnagh Castle CBS was the biggest school visited to date and it meant two separate presentations were given to 3rd and 4th and then to the 5th and 6th classes – in total over 370 young boys and there were a fair few Saints supporters among them.

Of course, not forgetting about the girls, earlier in the week St Pats had visited Scoil Bride in Palmerstown and with the help of Jason Gavin we gave a presentation on the importance of a healthy and balanced diet to 180 students of the all-girl school.

In total St Pats and our players have visited over 2,500 students in their schools in recent months and in addition to highlighting the benefits of dairy products as part of a balanced and healthy diet the club has also introduced many youngsters to their local League of Ireland team.
