Saints Progress In UEFA Cup

St Patrick's Athletic beat JFK Olimps 2-0 in the 2nd leg of the first Qualifying Round of the UEFA Cup tonight, giving the Saints a 3-0 aggregate win.

Captain Jamie Harris broke the deadlock five minutes before halftime, rising to head home a Keith Fahey in swinging free kick.

The referee from Malta awarded the Saints a penalty in the 70th mnute for a foul on Glen Fitzpatrick, and top scorer Mark Quigley duly slotted home the Saints' first penalty of the season.

The draw for the 2nd round takes place in Nyon tomorrow at noon Irish time.
