SAINTSCOPE – DROGHEDA V ST PATS ATH

The big game of Friday night's schedule sees defending champions Drogheda United lock horns with current table topper's and last season's runners-up St Patrick's Athletic.

United Park is never an easy place to go and Saints' manager Johnny McDonnell is in no doubt that tonight's game will be a tough one.

“We've injuries to a number of players at the moment but the lads who have come in have done very well. We're confident of getting something out of the game but it will be a difficult one. United Park is never an easy place to go to and Drogheda no doubt will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat last week to Bray.”

Pat's will be hoping to extend their advantage at the top but will have to do it without Joseph Ndo, Jamie Harris, David Partridge, John Frost and Damien Lynch who all remain on the St Pat's injury list.

Meanwhile Mark Quigley who picked up a rib injury in Tuesday night's u-23 International against Northern Ireland but should be fit to start. There are also still concerns over defender Joe O'Cearuill, who was forced out of the Tuesday international due to a re-occurring injury.

Drogheda United vs. St Patrick's Athletic kicks off at 7:45pm.
