ST PAT'S V LINFIELD - PLAYERSCOPE

Ahead of tonight's Setanta Sports Cup tie with Linfield, Pat's know that having drawn their opening encounter with Glentoran and losing away to Derry they need to register a win or at least not lose.

Linfield have taken maximum points from their first two outings and Pat's can't afford to let the current five point gap grow any further.

As Saint's striker Mark Quiqley outlined, “The Setanta Sports Cup is a tough competition to play in and the group we are playing in has worked out as the top two teams in each league right now.”

“That makes it even more difficult and even more important that we take 3 points tonight. I think you have to win all your home games but unfortunately we only drew with Glentoran.”

“We are at home tonight and will be going out to attack and win, I'm confident, because the way we played last Friday night against Finn Harps, we can get back on track.”
