CARRICK RANGERS VISIT A SUCCESS

LAST SATURDAY saw the visit of our friends from north of the border Carrick Rangers to Inchicore. The day itself was a fantastic experience for both sets of players and coaches who showed that sport is a valid way of breaking down political barriers.

Carrick made the trip south with three of their underage sides and played three games. The games were played in an extremely sporting manner with the Saints running out winners in all three games. First team boss Johnny McDonnell was present among the supporters running the rule over some of our up and coming Saints.

After the games the Carrick boys met and made presentations to St Pat's Club President Phil Mooney as well as our invited guest the new Lord Mayor of Dublin Vincent Jackson back in McDowell's.

Many thanks to all the players and supporters for their excellent support on the day and showing our visitors the utmost respect and hospitality.
